Project-Focused Accounting Advisor

Become a key player in our organization as an Accounting Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial reporting and VAT compliance.
In this position, you will facilitate the modern and sustainable enhancement of IT-driven processes, ensuring the timely and compliant generation of essential reports and the annual financial statements of the institution.
We are embarking on a significant initiative in the upcoming years: the organization-wide implementation of a new core banking system (SAP S/4 HANA). Your expertise will be crucial in advancing this vital and intricate project.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Engaging in institution-wide projects focused on balance sheet and VAT throughout the project lifecycle, from requirement definition to execution.
- Coordinating the annual financial statements for the institution and its subsidiaries, leveraging your experience.
- Ensuring high-quality and timely accounting for the institution and its subsidiaries in collaboration with your colleagues.
- Reviewing complex booking systems, particularly for fund management, and processing New Product Processes (NPP) with your expertise.
- Assessing the potential impacts of new or revised legal requirements and implementing necessary changes.
- Serving as a liaison for external service providers and advisors, as well as internal stakeholders in accounting, while managing collaborations efficiently and sustainably.
Qualifications:
- A completed degree in business administration or equivalent banking or commercial training, including specialization in business economics.
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in banking accounting or within an auditing/tax consulting firm with relevant auditing experience.
- Strong knowledge of HGB, RechKredV, and UStG.
- Proficiency in relevant IT systems, particularly MS Office and SAP R/3.
- Experience in project management and familiarity with developing and working with specialized or IT-related concepts, ideally in accounting and VAT law.
- A structured approach to work and creativity in developing effective solutions.
- Ability to handle large datasets securely and to analyze and communicate complex issues clearly.
- Fluency in German and a good command of English.
