About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager Data Engineering to lead our Data Engineering team at Publicis Sapient. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for advising clients on high-end software products and services, and leading experienced project teams to enable digital transformation for numerous large enterprises.

Your role will focus on delivering solutions that utilize large-scale data collection, processing, storage, and querying, as well as in-stream and batch analytics. As part of our team, you will create and deliver exceptional solutions designed by our experienced architects, by designing, programming, testing, and deploying the latest frameworks and platforms, ensuring scalability and performance.

As a highly qualified expert with a programming background, you will be part of our exciting, talented, and supportive community of Data Engineers who are passionate about developing the best possible solutions for our clients, and who foster a culture of lifelong learning and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practical experience with at least one of the leading public cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Fluent German language skills
  • Experience as a customer-oriented technical consultant
  • Experience in implementing data pipelines for streaming and batch integrations, as well as using tools/frameworks like Airflow, Spark, Glue, and other cloud-native services
  • Knowledge of Python or Java/Scala, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Experience in data modeling, warehouse design, and fact/dimension implementation
  • Experience with code repositories and continuous integration
  • Proven experience with data platforms, including the implementation of end-to-end data pipelines
  • Experience with OpenStack
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Experience with Databricks and Snowflake
