About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Data Specialist at E Energy Markets GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in bundling access to trading markets for our regional units, managing associated risks, and performing services and additional value-creating activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Capture Commercial Opportunities: Identify, structure, and capture commercial opportunities in existing and new markets for E.ON in a variety of energy commodities (electricity, gas, renewables, and cross-commodities).
  • Develop and Execute Hedging Strategies: Develop and execute hedging and risk mitigation strategies for positions stemming from origination transactions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise and steer internal stakeholders (Risk, Portfolio Strategy, Finance, Contract/Legal, etc.) in structuring, assessment, and approval of transactions.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders (Counterparties, Industry Associations, etc.).
  • Pricing and Valuation: Develop pricing tools for market-based valuation of flexible power offtakes, gas storages, cross-border capacities, and other physical energy assets.
  • Master Trade Agreements: Be experienced in and familiar with master trade agreements, such as EFET and ISDA.
  • Adaptability and Communication: Demonstrate persistence and self-motivation, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and fluency in English (with additional European languages a plus).
