Green Fuels Business Development Manager

About the Role:
Hapag-Lloyd is seeking a skilled Green Fuels Business Development Manager to join our Global Fuel Purchasing Department. This critical role will involve developing business opportunities that align with our green fuels sourcing strategy, focusing on the technical aspects while considering economic viability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess business opportunities in the green fuels sector, considering technical and economic aspects.
- Evaluate and analyze large-scale project formats related to green fuels, considering technical feasibility, financial viability, and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with green fuels project developers, technology providers, and different stakeholders to foster strong relationships and enhance project collaboration.
- Prepare and initiate RFQs/bids for green fuels sourcing and lead the contract negotiations process while engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan and source green fuels storage and bunkering logistics services.
- Monitor and analyze global green fuel markets, including pricing, supply-demand dynamics, and regulatory developments.
- Prepare business cases for green fuels sourcing and/or investments.
Requirements:
- University degree in the field of business administration, engineering, or a close qualification.
- Several years of experience in executing contracts for sales and purchase of fuels, JVs, and capital investments, with experience with green fuels and large-scale projects being advantageous.
- Understanding of green fuels technologies, production processes, and industry standards.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to evaluate detailed technical and economic data.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of global green fuel markets, including pricing mechanisms, supply chain dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
