Quantitative Researcher I Algorithmic Trading Analyst

Vattenfall, a leading European energy company, is seeking a skilled Quantitative Researcher I Algorithmic Trading Analyst to join its Algorithmic Trading team in Hamburg.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, backtesting, implementing, and continuously improving algorithmic trading strategies for energy commodity markets. This will involve generating algorithmic trading ideas using state-of-the-art statistical and analytical methods, partnering with trading desks and analysts to leverage market insights, and keeping track of the latest market developments and quantitative research.
Your Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement algorithmic trading strategies for energy commodity markets

- Adhere to and further develop the company's algorithmic trading standards and best practices
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced quantitative researcher with a strong academic background in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, financial engineering, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of professional experience in a quantitative research role, with a proven track record in implementing quantitative models for commodity futures and cross-market relationships.
The successful candidate will have strong programming skills, particularly in Python, R, and C#, as well as strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills. Fluency in English is essential, and additional languages are advantageous.
