We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to support our onshore wind and PV projects in Germany. As a key member of our Project Engineering Germany department, you will provide technical expertise in the development, construction, and operation of our wind farms.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize electrical systems for onshore wind and PV projects connected to the medium, high, or extra-high voltage grid.
  • Ensure compliance with transmission, distribution, and feeding into the public grid regulations.
  • Perform load flow and short circuit calculations using PowerFactory.
  • Prepare grid connection applications with grid operators for our renewable generation plants.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including I&C, Development, Construction, and Operations.
  • Prepare tender documents for eBop components, such as substations, transfer stations, and cable ground works.
  • Coordinate commissioning, supervision, and external service providers.
  • Accompany projects through the construction phase, ensuring timely completion and commissioning.
  • Oversee the certification process according to FGW-TR8 and VDE-AR-N 4110/4120/4130.

Your Profile

  • University degree or comparable professional experience in electrical power supply or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing medium or high voltage systems, preferably with grid connections for renewable energy generation systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant network calculation software, such as PowerFactory, and experience with PSS/E and PSCAD is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of the German transmission and distribution network.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, such as VDE-AR-N 4110/4120/4130 and FGW technical guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with people at different hierarchical levels.
  • Good project management skills, with the ability to work in a team and build sustainable relationships.
  • Business fluent in German and good English skills.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Germany.
