Job Description

As a Junior Semiconductor Software Engineer at SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing cutting-edge technologies in the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in software programming, including PLC code and automation project human-machine interfaces.
  • Responsible for installing, maintaining, and rebuilding PLC control systems.
  • Support service engineers in debugging and validating new systems.
  • Implement new PLC control, monitoring, and data collection functions, and modify existing ones.
  • Analyze event logs to identify root causes and generate reports to improve system performance.
  • Provide on-site and online training for clients and system integrators.
  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel to resolve issues and provide solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal engineers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a German university.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming.
  • Knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT and Siemens programming software.
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio (WPF) and Wincc.
  • Knowledge of analyzing performance logs (TwinCAT scope, log files, Siemens diagnostics).
  • Electrical debugging skills.
  • A customer-oriented approach and ability to handle client requests.
  • Experience with vacuum deposition systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (Chinese, English, German) and customer relationship skills.
  • Willingness to sign a labor contract with the Chinese subsidiary (Shanghai) and travel between China and Germany.
