Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stockroom Assistant to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Stockroom Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining an adequate stock of perishable and non-perishable subsistence items, replenishing depleted stock, and ensuring accurate pricing and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular stock checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Replenish depleted stock by obtaining items from storage areas and transporting them to shelving or display areas.
  • Use manual or electric pallet jacks to move items and ensure efficient stockroom operations.
  • Place computer-generated selling price labels on shelves and perform price verification to ensure accuracy.
  • Arrange stock on shelves or in displays in a neat and orderly manner, rotating stock based on age and freshness.
  • Constantly check for damaged, spoiled, or out-of-date merchandise and refer items to supervisor and/or food inspector.
  • Assist in unloading incoming shipments and checking stock to ensure accuracy.
  • Use handheld terminals to scan UPC codes, verify items are authorized, and enter quantities received into the terminal.
  • Print reports and verify totals with delivery tickets to inform management of discrepancies.
  • Move stock into temporary or permanent storage locations using proper stock rotation techniques.
  • Participate in inventories and respond courteously and professionally to routine patron questions.
Requirements
  • English Language Proficiency level B2 required.
  • 6 months of General Experience required, with experience in an office or store environment.
  • Current employees in the same or similar positions who do not meet E&T Level I must have additional 2 years of general experience to qualify.
  • No additional experience required for E&T Level II and above.
Working Conditions
  • This is a permanent part-time position (20 hrs./week).
  • Working on weekends and holidays as well as rotating shift work required.
  • Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
