Your Mission

As a Senior Aeroelasticity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and certification of the Microliner, a full-electric aircraft for regional flights. Your primary focus will be on addressing the design challenges associated with a slender wing and integrated batteries. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that the design meets stringent performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

Your Responsibilities
  • Contribute significantly to the definition, sizing, specification, development, and integration of the wing-battery integration.
  • Lead and execute technical tasks within the Flight Physics Department for the Microliner's development and certification.
  • Perform aeroelastic simulations of current designs and design-of-experiments on candidate designs.
  • Establish a framework for consistent load calculation and documentation, aligning with existing processes at Vaeridion.
  • Define part of the scope and participate in wind tunnel and structural test campaigns.
  • Participate in major program milestones such as PDR, CDR, First Flight, and Type Certification.
  • Provide full engineering support for prototype final assembly and initial integration ground tests.
Your Profile
  • Hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in aeroelasticity, dynamics, and loads within an aerospace OEM.
  • Have a solid understanding of aircraft loads and aeroelasticity, as well as fundamentals in aerodynamics, rigid body dynamics, statics, and dynamics.
  • Experience with composite structures and aeroelastic tailoring is a plus.
  • Have demonstrated experience with various levels of fidelity of simulation.
  • Experience with analysis tools such as MATLAB, Ansys, and Catia is required.
  • Experience with experimental testing and model validation is a plus.
  • Practical experience with aircraft certification programs (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25) is beneficial.
  • Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization or international equivalent is a plus.
  • Assertive and clear communication skills, results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to interact efficiently with authorities, suppliers, and internal organizational units.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Skilled in navigating early design uncertainties and driving progress through proactive proposals.
  • Positive and optimistic attitude, with a collaborative approach in a multicultural team.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, and fluent German or other languages would be beneficial.
