Transforming Safety and Security with Proactive Legal Services

Allegion EMEA BV is seeking a talented mid-level lawyer to join its Electronics business unit as an in-house counsel. As a key member of the legal team, you will play a crucial role in managing and advising on a wide range of general legal matters, primarily supporting our Electronics business unit.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive and business-oriented advice on commercial, corporate, and M&A, regulatory, risk management, dispute resolution, and contract management matters.
  • Commercial contract drafting, negotiation, review, and interpretation, as well as managing product and commercial disputes.
  • Support ensuring EU regulatory compliance, including information and cyber security compliance, by ensuring management and employees adhere to regulatory rules, company policies, and Allegion's Code of Conduct.
  • Advice on resolution of labor and employment matters.
  • The above fields may include managing outside counsel and making recommendations directly to management regarding strategy and resolutions of these matters.
  • Deliver legal training sessions on various topics to enhance the skills and knowledge of Allegion's workforce.

Your Profile

  • Your Base: Unquestionable integrity and values. German qualified lawyer. Relevant post-qualification experience in legal matters, ideally gained in a law firm or in-house counsel role, including relevant international legal experience.
  • Your Language Skills: Fluent in German and English, and desirable Dutch; additional languages are a plus.
  • Your Hard Skills: Proven experience in business law; strong business curiosity. ICT, IP, and data protection experience are a plus. Business-oriented approach to problem-solving, tempered by an appreciation for legal complexity and risk.
  • Your Soft Skills: Collaborative and proactive nature, team player. Excellent communications and negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to stand firm on issues with business clients when necessary. Detail-oriented and resourceful with excellent follow-through skills.
