MEAL Officer - National Position
Malteser International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced MEAL Officer to support project success in Northwestern Syria and Türkiye.
As a MEAL Officer, you will design monitoring plans aligned with project goals, collaborate with partners to strengthen accountability and best practices, and optimize data quality. You will also conduct assessments, contribute to reports, and foster a learning environment that improves project impact.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and implement monitoring plans aligned with project goals.
- Provide technical support to partners on monitoring and evaluation best practices.
- Assess partner accountability and offer guidance for improvement.
- Address monitoring challenges with partners and update the learning system.
- Review partner reports, contribute to project reports, and ensure quality data collection.
- Evaluate partner performance against set criteria.
- Manage project M&E plans and ensure proper storage of project documents.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, public health etc.)
- 4 years Proven experience in designing and implementing MEAL systems in humanitarian or development projects.
- Working experience in health projects is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English with excellent written communication skills, Arabic or Turkish is an advantage.
