About the Role

MODIFI is revolutionizing global commerce with innovative solutions in global payments, trade financing, and trade management services. We're seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our mission in Berlin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and advance cloud infrastructure for our global Trade Finance platform, leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
  • Ensure operational visibility through monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging infrastructure with Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, EFK, and Graylog.
  • Handle production incidents, write RCAs, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using best practices.
  • Participate in Engineering decisions to improve infrastructure and processes.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in Release Engineering, DevOps, and Cloud Engineering, preferably with microservices SaaS products.
  • Expertise in Linux operating system administration, troubleshooting, and automation, with strong understanding of foundational internet technologies.
  • Designing cost-effective production infrastructure with high-availability, failover, scaling, and security in mind.
  • Experience with application containerization, orchestration, monitoring, logging, automation, and troubleshooting with Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in scripting with Bash and Python.
  • Run SQL and NoSQL in production, e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, or MongoDB.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for building great things with the team.
