Scientific Team Coordinator

With Heidelberg Materials, you will be part of a dynamic team in the Global Research & Development (GRD) department, where we work together to reduce the CO2-footprint of cement and concrete. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of scientific experts in mineralogy and advanced chemistry. Your role will involve guiding and supporting GRD project managers in scientific questions, developing and maintaining close relations with leading scientific institutes in cement and concrete technology, and transferring the latest developments in cement science and analytical tools into Heidelberg Materials' R&D project work. You will also be responsible for training and educating GRD staff, identifying opportunities for publicly funded projects, and overseeing, coordinating, and following up on projects related to the development of alternative binder concepts.
As a key member of our team, you will have a solid scientific background, strong ability to apply scientific knowledge in a profit-oriented, industrial environment, and conceptual thinking. You will be highly organized, have strong determination, and excellent communication skills. You will be willing to travel extensively and have a university degree in chemistry, mineralogy, or an equivalent field.
