About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing and Data Science Specialist to join our global Business Excellence Team within the Sulzer Services Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the automation and improvement of our data-driven global price management.

Main Responsibilities

As a Pricing and Data Science Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Pricing:
    • Develop and implement global pricing strategies to optimize local and global pricing for the Sulzer after-markets
    • Prepare profitability studies and analyze financial effects of price adjustments
    • Design and improve global pricing tools for internal customers
    • Support the automation of price setting and price calculations
    • Conduct quantitative data analyses for a harmonized price structure
  • Data Science:
    • Apply data science capabilities in strategic global projects in contexts of market, sales, and cost analytics
    • Identify key drivers of business performance and develop performance measures
    • Deploy state-of-the-art methods and tools utilizing advanced analytics, machine learning, or generative artificial intelligence
    • Develop and deliver internal trainings and workshops

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in business informatics, statistics, mathematics, data science, industrial engineering, or business administration with a strong analytics background
  • Strong experience in Python programming and good working knowledge of data-processing and analytics Python libraries like Pandas, Scikit-learn, and others
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the field of machine learning
  • Ideal experience with pricing in a B2B environment
  • Experience with QlikSense is advantageous
  • High capability in understanding business needs, translating them into relevant analysis, and driving decision-making
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to occasionally travel internationally
