Janitorial Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Janitorial Specialist to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a specified area orderly and clean following general instructions
• Sweep, mop, strip, scrub, wax, and polish floors using heavy industrial powered equipment
• Adjust, oil, and change buffers, brushes, rollers, and other attachments on these machines
• Wash and replace venetian blinds, ceiling fixtures, and room partitions using ladders and scaffolds
• Remove stains from various surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions
• Move heavy furniture
• Wash and clean windows inside and outside of buildings using ladders, scaffolds, and safety belts
• Inspect and keep safety belts in good condition

Requirements:

• No specific experience or education required
• Applicant must be able to perform duties under guidance after a short period of on-the-job instructions
• English Language Proficiency level A1 and German Language Proficiency level B1 required

Working Conditions:

Working on weekends, holidays, and shift work (daytime shift) required. This is a permanent part-time position (20 hours/week).
