About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global HR Director to join our team at Danaher. As a key member of our global HR team, you will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategy in support of our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute HR strategy to support business objectives
  • Provide expertise and guidance in areas of culture and change management, strategic coaching, talent assessment and development, succession planning, performance management, and organizational design
  • Oversee activities supporting Diversity & Inclusion, employee relations, compliance, HR operational activities, local initiatives, and engagement
  • Hold overall responsibility for Workers Council strategy and execution
  • Partner with global HR leadership team to support implementation and delivery of local actions to realize ambitions for HR global strategic initiatives
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
Requirements
  • University degree with several years of relevant HR experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading an HR team and HR Business Partnering within a large multinational global (for profit) organization
  • Experience partnering with leaders and handling complex issues across remote and field-based associate populations; working across a global matrixed HR organization
  • Experience partnering with Works Council and sound knowledge of German labor laws, and government requirements; and ability to coach and build these skills with direct reports
  • Demonstrated success in organizational design and change management (initiating, planning, leading, implementing), in a global, matrixed environment
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Availability to travel locally to our factory plant and periodically outside Germany, to France and US (ca 15% travel)
Preferred Qualifications
  • LEAN or Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Working as HR leader in a science & technology company
  • Project management applied to complex workforce development initiatives
