Commodities Timber Category Lead

As a Commodities Timber Category Lead at STARK Deutschland, you will be responsible for driving the company's growth and profitability in the timber category. With a strong understanding of market dynamics, product categories, and price trends, you will develop and implement strategies to maximize performance and profitability.
With close collaboration with business units, you will design an attractive group offering in the category, presentable to customers and suppliers. You will also drive European activities with suppliers, ensuring successful execution. Establishing structured meetings with key suppliers/partners, fostering strong relationships and effective communication, is crucial.
The role involves aligning and coordinating decision-making processes for European assortment activities with category teams in business units. Additionally, you will facilitate sharing of best practices to drive performance and compliance. Your efforts will contribute to operational excellence and growth through digitalization projects with European supplier/partners.

You will report directly to the Group Category Director Commodities, Jan Henning Bystrøm, located in Norway. Relocation is not necessary, but some travel may be expected due to interactions with local business unit teams. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent stakeholder management skills, strategic thinking, and strong analytical and numerical abilities. Prior experience in category management is beneficial, but not required. We encourage individuals with a strong strategic mindset, resilience, and ability to challenge and influence at a senior level to apply.
A comfortable working knowledge of English (our corporate language) is essential. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are proactive, innovative, and an initiator, we look forward to receiving your job application. Estimated salary: €120,000 - €150,000 annually.
