About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join our team at SVA. As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our container-based infrastructure using Red Hat OpenShift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement container-based infrastructure using Red Hat OpenShift
  • Develop and maintain GitOps toolchains using tools like Ansible, Tekton, ArgoCD, Terraform, or GitLab Pipelines
  • Deploy new or existing applications using the Red Hat OpenShift container platform
  • Create technical documentation to improve process workflows for our customers

Requirements

  • Completed IT-related education, such as a degree in Computer Science or a related field, and preferably practical experience in operating IT infrastructures
  • Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu), scripting languages (e.g., bash, Python), automation (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform)
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: hypervisor (e.g., VMware, Nutanix, KVM), public cloud (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure), container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, k3s, Rancher), pipelines (e.g., GitLab, ArgoCD, Tekton)
  • Interest in continuous learning and staying up-to-date with new technologies
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and understand critical aspects in the broader context
  • Excellent communication skills with German language proficiency at level C1 (or higher) for communication with our German-speaking customers
