Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer

At Applied Materials, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in Munich, Germany. As a key member of our operations division, you will be responsible for developing and applying quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure and further develop the quality standards of our high-end products
  • Execute and implement new methods and parameters for quality monitoring
  • Analyze and collect production data and product deviations, including statistical process qualification (SPC)
  • Manage and control the most important technical problems, define priorities for root cause investigation, and pursue long-term solutions
  • Collaborate with our customer, supplier management, production, logistics, and R&D teams on quality-related issues
  • Develop and present quality reports for internal and external customers
  • Continuously improve cost and quality goals
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, optical, industrial), or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain management environment
  • Green or Black Belt / Lean Six Sigma experience, including tooling (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D)
  • Experience in managing supplier quality performance, preferably in a complex high-tech industry
  • Experience in quality improvement and operational excellence in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in complex work environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in building and maintaining strategic relationships with suppliers
  • Deep understanding and experience with Quality Management Systems and Tools
  • Willingness to travel (at least 10%) and explore Applied Materials
