At targetjobs Hired, our Economic and Financial Consulting practice is a leading provider of expert services to clients worldwide. Our team of experienced professionals supports clients in managing complex disputes and strategic decisions, leveraging our expertise in economic relationships and financial analysis.

We offer independent valuations of companies, shares, financial instruments, and intangible assets, as well as financial, economic, and econometric analyses to address complex pricing and risk management issues in regulated markets. Our interdisciplinary team consists of valuation experts, economists, auditors, MBA graduates, statisticians, and econometricians, working on diverse and challenging assignments across a broad range of industries.

Our Services

Some examples of our recent projects include:

  • Damage assessment following an M&A transaction: We were engaged as independent experts to assess the damage associated with various warranty breaches, requiring complex analyses of accounting errors made by the buyer and the resulting economic damages suffered by the purchaser.
  • Damage assessment related to the delivery of defective components in the automotive industry: We were hired by an automotive company to assess damages, including assessing lost profits and additional losses.
  • Quantifying the economic impact of regulatory changes in the solar power industry: We were engaged by a group of investors in solar power plants to analyse the economic impact of regulatory changes and to quantify the effects of the reforms on the value of their investments in the solar installations.
What We Offer

We are seeking a Consultant to support our team in Germany, working on fascinating projects across many different industries, dealing with situations that are critical to our clients. As a Consultant, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to a variety of economic, valuation, and business issues, playing a key role in our projects and helping to analyse and communicate our findings clearly, precisely, and in a structured manner.

Requirements

We are looking for:

  • University graduates with a degree in business administration, finance, economics, natural sciences, or another relevant field
  • Up to one year of professional experience in corporate finance, valuation, transaction advisory, or similar areas (internships are also welcome)
  • Excellent German and English language skills
  • High sense of quality and responsibility
  • Strong motivation and enthusiasm for working in a collegial, performance-oriented team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills, along with a high degree of independence and commitment
  • Advanced Excel skills – knowledge of other relevant analytical software such as Microsoft VBA or statistical packages like Python, R, or Stata is desirable but not required
