We are seeking an experienced Automation Technologist to join our team at the Road Transit Hub Wiesbaden. As a key member of our logistics and maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated package handling systems and building services.
Job Summary:
This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex automated systems, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and collaborating with our technical team to ensure optimal system availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated package handling systems and building services
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance as required
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure optimal system availability
- Conduct fault analysis and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Participate in training and professional development programs
Requirements:
- Completed (HIGA recognized) apprenticeship or degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant field
- Strong knowledge of operations and building technology
- Able to conduct fault analysis and implement corrective actions
- Proficient in PC use and Microsoft Office
- Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of driven conveyor systems and measurement and weighing technology for packages and cargo
- Experience in independent troubleshooting of automated conveyor systems and building technology
- Availability to work shifts and on-call duties
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SPS-based control systems
- Experience in managing external contractors
- Basic English language skills
- Experience in implementing shutdown procedures (LoTo) for maintenance activities
- Experience in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to implement maintenance plans and repairs

Salary:
€60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience
