Safety Engineering Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineering Manager to join our team at emagine Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex multi-office projects in Safety Engineering, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Manage the financial aspects of the discipline, including man-hour estimates and margin goals, ensuring effective financial management.
- Develop and implement effective management of change strategies, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Conduct safety studies, including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, and safety philosophies, to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Perform hazardous area classification studies and ignition control, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Conduct heat radiation calculations and safety reviews, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement fire protection, safety, and loss prevention strategies, minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Conduct consequence assessments and quantitative risk assessments, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Familiarize yourself with German, European, and International rules and regulations related to Safety Engineering, ensuring compliance and best practices.
Requirements:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline from an internationally accredited university.
- Experience in Safety Engineering work in the Energy Transition (Petro-) chemical industry, with a focus on projects in Germany.
- Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of self-motivation and discipline.
- Valid driver's license, with a strong emphasis on safety and responsible driving practices.
- Proficiency in German and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
