About the Job
The Université du Luxembourg is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to contribute to the design of optimal network slicing strategies and the development of SDN/NFV solutions for non-terrestrial network automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop SDN/NFV solutions for 6G NTN
- Optimize service function chain, flow management, and virtual network embedding
- Contribute to the national project FNR SDNSaT: Intelligent SDN Management and Routing in NGSO Satellites for Critical Services
- Carry out research in network slicing, SDN/NFV, and optimization techniques
- Disseminate results through scientific publications in top-tier venues
- Coordinating research projects and preparing project deliverables
- Preparing new research proposals to attract industrial, national, and European projects
Requirements
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Strong background in Computer Networking technologies, network slicing, and optimization techniques
- Experience in open-source platforms and controllers (e.g., ONOS, Ryu, MiniNet, OpenSAND)
- Development skills in MATLAB, Python, or C++
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
