{"h2": "Job Description", "p": "At Menlo Systems GmbH, we are seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer to join our team in Planegg-Martinsried near Munich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and testing photonic integrated circuitry (PIC) solutions. Your tasks will include designing and implementing thermal, electrical, and optical packaging solutions for chips, as well as developing the infrastructure and processes for testing and packaging optical chips. You will work closely with our team to realize PIC-based light sources, such as frequency combs and supercontinua.

To be successful in this role, you will need a completed university degree in optical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics, as well as first professional experience as a development engineer for PIC. You should have knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas: photonic integrated circuitry, packaging, electronics, mechanical design, laser physics, and photonics.

**Requirements:**

* Completed university degree in optical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics
* First professional experience as a development engineer for PIC
* Knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas: photonic integrated circuitry, packaging, electronics, mechanical design, laser physics, and photonics
* Communication and teamwork skills with a high degree of initiative and persuasiveness
* Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
