Social Worker for Children and Youth Group Home

Job Description

Elbhelden GmbH is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our team in Hamburg, Germany. As a Social Worker for Children and Youth Group Home, you will be responsible for providing care and support to children and young adults in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care and support to children and young adults, including daily living activities, education, and recreation.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the child's family, social services, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on the child's progress, identifying areas of strength and need for additional support.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers, healthcare providers, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations.
  • Document all interactions, observations, and interventions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • State-recognized certification as a Social Worker.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in child and youth care, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
