Job Overview

As a Customs and Trade Compliance Analyst within the Global Trade Services (GTS) division, you will play a pivotal role in supporting customs and international trade functions. Your responsibilities will include evaluating trade compliance risks through comprehensive data analysis and formulating process enhancements. Become an integral part of our dynamic team and leverage the opportunity to innovate and expand our programs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance and automate the internal control framework for customs and international trade operations.

• Assist in customs and trade compliance audits, analyze audit findings, and propose corrective actions.

• Independently draft work and organizational guidelines.

• Lead projects focused on customs and trade compliance issues.

• Implement appropriate customs procedures tailored to various business scenarios, particularly local clearance processes.

• Oversee the operational engagement with customs brokers, identifying and executing improvement opportunities.

• Analyze data and assess key performance indicators to pinpoint compliance risks and explore cost-saving opportunities.

• Stay informed on changes in trade regulations and legislation, evaluating their potential impact on the organization and determining necessary actions.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational training in logistics, international trade, or a related field.

• Additional qualifications in customs and international trade, such as customs declarant or specialist certifications.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in trade compliance and customs clearance operations, including familiarity with simplified customs procedures.

• Strong understanding of customs regulations, particularly regarding customs procedures and valuation laws.

• Experience in establishing and applying an internal control system.

• Initial exposure to customs and trade compliance audits.

• Proficient in IT systems, including SAP and other business intelligence applications.

• Advanced skills in MS Office applications, especially Excel (including Power Pivot and Access), with experience in Power BI being advantageous.

• Analytical mindset with a process-oriented approach, demonstrating independence and a structured work style, alongside a strong team collaboration ability.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willingness to travel as required for the role.
