Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Global Bank Team at SumUp. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for championing the entire quality process throughout all stages of the development cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and oversee end-to-end testing for the bank account transfers domain
- Develop and improve the automation test framework and scripts for the respective services, continuously improving efficiency and coverage
- Conduct thorough testing of client-facing applications, including iOS and Android apps, Web Dashboard, and Bank Backoffice, ensuring a seamless and error-free user experience
- Develop and execute security and load-testing plans to guarantee the reliability and security of the banking features
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Product Designer, providing valuable insights and ensuring alignment between quality assurance processes and product development goals
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with solid automation testing experience
- Good command of at least one modern programming language (e.g. Kotlin, Java, Go) and experience in testing backend, frontend, and mobile components
- Excellent grasp of test principles and strategies, reflecting a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in software testing
- Proven experience writing automation tests and a good foundation in SQL, showcasing the ability to contribute to the efficiency of testing processes
- Good understanding of how web, RESTful, event-driven applications work in a microservices environment
