Cyber Security Specialist for Industrial 5G Use Cases

At Fraunhofer IPT, we are working on making production more digital, flexible, and sustainable. In the Production Quality department, you will conceptualize solution approaches to transfer novel technologies into the industry.
Within your thesis, you will investigate how a cyber security concept can be designed to enable secure industrial 5G communication in different application domains. You will work on this task in collaboration with international partners from an EU funded research project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research current cyber security aspects in industrial 5G communication
- Design a concept to integrate cyber security aspects into different industrial 5G use cases
- Validate the developed concept with industry and research partners
Requirements:
- Studying mechanical engineering, computer science, computational engineering science, electrical engineering, or a comparable subject
- First experiences in industrial cyber security are advantageous
- A high degree of initiative, motivation, and collaborative skills
- Good language skills in English
