About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Manager to join our team at ZEISS Group. As an Application Manager, you will be responsible for the configuration, deployment, and support of in-house written microservices and applications across our global environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and deploy microservices using Git and YAML for later deployment into global edge-environments
  • Manage the deployment of new or changed versions of microservices into edge-environments
  • Diagnose issues across running services using various technologies, including MSSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and Docker
  • Perform extended diagnostics using monitoring and logging tools, such as Grafana, Loki, and Mimir
  • Communicate with on-premise support regarding changes to services and provide training on new features when required
  • Create and maintain training material and documentation for deployed services
  • Report new bugs and issues to Technical Product Owners and Developers

About You

  • Hold a degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or equivalent work experience
  • Have 2-5 years of experience working with IT infrastructure or server administration, including Windows, Linux, Virtualization, Networking, and Security
  • Have basic knowledge of microservice architecture, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Be familiar with CI/CD
  • Have basic knowledge of MSSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and Windows/Linux
  • Have very good written and spoken English, with knowledge of German an advantage
  • Be a team player with excellent customer and service-oriented skills
