At Volocopter GmbH, we are seeking a highly skilled Avionics System Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and certification of our eVTOL aircraft's avionics systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain system architecture and requirements engineering documents
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful certification of avionics systems
- Plan and execute integration activities for newly developed and COTS equipment
- Support validation and verification activities for the entire avionics system
- Generate compliance evidence for certification, including certification plans, test plans, and design reviews
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace development
- Good knowledge of system development lifecycle according to ARP4754A
- Experience in avionics functions and technology for communication, navigation, surveillance, indication, crew alerting, and data recording
- Knowledge of certification deliverables for Type Certificate programs in CS-25/23/29/27 programs
- Knowledge of aviation standards such as ARP4761 and DO-160
- Experience with software and airborne electronic hardware standards DO-178 and DO-254
- Experience in working in EASA-approved Design Organization (Part21J)
