Generator Engineer

Vestas Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Generator Engineer to join our team in Travemünde, Germany. As a key member of our Powertrain Module department, you will play a crucial role in the development and upkeep of new generator submodules, adhering to our project frameworks, processes, and stage gate models.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement design for manufacturing principles for generators
• Coordinate the construction of demonstrators and prototypes in collaboration with the value chain
• Identify and execute corrections and enhancements during the prototype build phase
• Provide daily technical support to internal manufacturing operations and external partners
• Plan and organize tasks using JIRA
• Participate in cross-functional commodity teams to promote continuous improvement and innovation
• Maintain constructive engagement with partners at every stage of the value chain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Marine, Electromechanical, or Machines engineering
• Demonstrated experience of 2-3 years in product development, preferably in the realm of drive technology
• Proficiency in navigating a global project organization
• English language proficiency, both spoken and written. Proficiency in German is beneficial
• Familiarity with six-sigma/system engineering tools, such as DFMEA
• Previous work experience within a global matrix organization or the wind industry is beneficial
