As a Director of New Site Development, you will play a critical role in driving the development of new data center campuses, focusing on pre-construction activities, risk assessment, and commercial management. You will work closely with the Senior Director of New Site Development to manage projects from concept to shovel-ready, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all aspects of design, engineering, scheduling, and budgeting for new projects, including site assessment, conceptual design, and development of construction documents.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Facilities, Operations, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure that new facilities meet Vantage's product and service offerings.
  • Managing and developing junior to senior members of the Site Development team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their growth and success.
  • Providing thought leadership and team leadership, while being accountable for team results on all pre-construction projects and assignments.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in development management, with a focus on pre-construction activities, including de-risking sites, planning, permitting, and managing schedules and costs.
  • Construction and project management experience, with a strong understanding of commercial metrics and real estate finance.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to demonstrate strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in construction or a related field, with data center experience preferred.
