Lead Career Navigator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Career Navigator at Tallahassee Community College. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students and contribute to the success of our institution.
Main Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction: Provide guidance and oversight to a team of career navigators, ensuring the effective delivery of services to students.
- Staff Development and Training: Develop and execute training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of career navigators, aligning with the college's service model.
- Meeting Facilitation and Coordination: Facilitate and lead meetings as required, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance and Oversight: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of reports, documents, and communications.
- Referral and Registration Processing: Review and process referrals and other documents related to program youth, assist with registration, and respond to inquiries about post-secondary institution admittance.
- Community Resource Development: Develop and maintain relationships with program partners and community resources to ensure student success and pathway to work-based learning or post-secondary education.
- Success Planning and Coordination: Develop tailored success plans for assigned youth, work with students to identify required documentation for enrollment, and secure work-based learning opportunities.
- Team Collaboration and Data Management: Work with a team to coordinate services to youth in a comprehensive manner, maintain and use required databases to track data, and assist in the development of automated communications with students.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, or a related area from an accredited college or university.
- Four (4) years of related experience; or a master's degree in counseling, education, or a related area from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of related experience.
