Senior Accountant IFRS Job Description

BIRKENSTOCK GROUP B.V. & CO. KG is a global leader in the footwear industry, with a rich history dating back to 1774. As a Senior Accountant IFRS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's financial reporting is accurate and compliant with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for international subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and post necessary entries to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Oversee provisions, accrual accounts, and import data from external accounting systems to maintain financial integrity.
  • Provide expert accounting guidance to auditors, resolve accounting issues, and collaborate with other departments and subsidiaries.
  • Lead the general ledger in national and international projects, such as the rollout of SAP S/4HANA.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business Administration or further qualifications as a certified accountant.
  • Several years of experience in finance and accounting, particularly with IFRS.
  • Strong skills in MS Office (especially Excel) and SAP (nice-to-have), with a focus on the FI-AA module.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written – German (at least B1 needed) & Spanish is a big plus.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
