Job Summary

The City of Tucson is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Information Systems Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources Department, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Human Resources Information Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and implement new Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) modules and configuration projects, including Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Absence Management, Recruitment, Compensation, Performance, and Learning.
  • Oversee the creation, optimization, and implementation of HRIS modules, processes, and configuration projects that link closely to system workflows.
  • Manage and oversee the maintenance of the Human Capital Management (HCM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure optimal function.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring of employees, making recommendations on employee discipline and other human resources issues.
  • Create, maintain, and analyze a variety of standard and custom reports requiring extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and system reporting analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of directly related experience in Enterprise Resource Planning, Human Resource Information Systems, or Human Resource Management.
  • Professional certification from a recognized human resource/personnel association is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in software programs such as Workday and Kronos.
  • Experience in promoting diversity and inclusion, with the ability to advocate for diverse perspectives and collaborate effectively as part of an inclusive team.
