Job Opportunity:
  The Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position.

About the Job:
This research role involves investigating how fungal pathogens manipulate host cell phagocytosis. You will utilize molecular biological, cell biological, microscopic, and proteomic methods to explore critical aspects of fungal pathogen manipulation of host cell phagocytosis. Responsibilities include developing novel phagosome-based anti-infective strategies, collaborating with Phagosome Biology and Engineering and the Department of Molecular and Applied Microbiology, and performing team-oriented and independent work.

Requirements:
• PhD in life sciences or a related discipline within three years of PhD
• Track record of excellent scholarly contributions
• Experimental background in molecular biology, microbiology, infection biology, immunology, and cell biology
• Practical experience in cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, and fungal genetics
• Strong communication skills in English
