Lilium is seeking a highly skilled Senior Airworthiness Engineer to join our Office of Airworthiness team. As a key member of our team, you will provide independent checking and verification of our electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft's energy and electrical systems.
As a subject matter expert, you will work closely with our Engineering and Certification Teams to ensure the development and type certification of our aircraft meets stringent airworthiness, safety, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent compliance verification as a certification subject matter expert in energy and electrical systems.
- Engage in technical discussions with regulatory authorities.
- Assist in the definition and maturation of the Type Certification Basis for new Type Certificates and Changes to Type Certificate.
- Review and approve certification program documentation, including certification plans and reports.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Design Organisation Handbook procedures.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the type-certification process within Aerospace.
- Positive contributor to company objectives.
- Engineering Degree desirable.
- Literate in Office software and documentation control systems.
- Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer within the same field.
- 10 Years' experience with EASA Part-21 or similar regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of EASA and FAA airworthiness and environmental requirements.
