Transportation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods, ensuring timely and safe delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods, including scheduling and handling national and international truck charter transports
• Conduct negotiations for the purchase and sale of freight, ensuring optimal pricing and delivery times
• Act as a liaison between carriers, drivers, and colleagues, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
• Prepare and manage freight documents, including Euro pallet exchange and customs clearance
• Plan and organize tours and routes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation
• Process tenders and negotiate contracts with carriers and suppliers

Requirements:

• Successfully completed training in the field of forwarding and logistics services
• Experience in truck purchasing and scheduling, preferably in a logistics or transportation company
• Excellent geographical knowledge and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with digital tools and systems
• Affinity for IT systems and digital topics
