Senior Risk Engineer Property

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Engineer to join our EMEA team of Property Risk Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to clients and brokers on risk management matters related to property.
As an Account Engineer for mid-size to large industrial customers, you will develop a servicing strategy and engineer your own portfolio to achieve thoughtful risk selection, growing a long-term profitable book-of-business. You will review, interpret and build your specialist opinion based on third-party risk information, conduct prospect visits and develop a strategic servicing plan for our customers.
You will also lead your own field-engineering visits, set priorities and targets for risk improvement and partner with our customers to develop a long-term relationship. Based on your skills, you will develop to become a specialist in dedicated core industries or subject matters. This includes driving various projects, initiatives, development and implementation of strategies, crafting standard methodologies, guidelines or papers and industry updates or developing new innovative service offerings.

As a member of our global Risk Engineering Services (RES) community, you will be fully embedded in the RES EMEA Central team of the EMEA business division serving the German & Austrian market.
About You- University degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences
- Strong property loss prevention background (> 5 years at a reputable property risk engineering provider)
- Team-player, actively contributing to the team result and spirit
- Service-mindedness for internal and external partners
- Self-confident with excellent presenting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical skills with high affinity to technology, data analytics (e.g. Microsoft Office, databases and statistics) and digital solutions
- Entrepreneurial mind-set with business sense and flexibility, focused on delivering results
- Excellent oral and written German (first language or business proficient) and English skills; additional language skills helpful
- Willingness to travel – mainly within Europe
