This role reports to the Business Manager - E2E.
Your Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional to join our team at the ABB Logistics Center Europe GmbH in Menden. As an HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a high-performing HSE culture and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading HSE activities and improvements together with the Operative Unit Manager.
- Maintaining HSE management systems, including control of documents and records, operational control procedures, and continuous improvement.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in the HSE program regarding compliance, management systems, and culture. You will develop, recommend, and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Establishing performance target objectives aligned with strategic ABB direction in core functions (Safety and Environmental) and monitoring achievement of.
- Maintaining all safety and compliance records for employees and facilities.
- Supporting sustainability initiatives and maintaining energy, water, and waste consumption metrics. You will develop, recommend, and implement appropriate controls to reduce use or disposal.
- Responsible for the HSE area training program for all employees.
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Several years of experience in HSE topics.
- Solid knowledge of processes and topics ideally in HSE in a logistical or industrial/factory environment with strategic, analytical, and organizational background.
- Knowledge of standard office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, ...), database handling.
- Ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams.
- Collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.

- Diploma, Master, or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or similar.
- Excellent German and good English language skills, written and spoken. Additional language skills are welcome.
About the Role and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range between €60,000 and €90,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as flexible work practices, Employee Share Acquisition Plan, and a wide range of individual career development opportunities.
