Cloud Infrastructure Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux KVM DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team managing a large-scale cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux systems and KVM virtualization, with a passion for automation, performance optimization, and innovative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Linux-based systems and KVM hypervisors in a large-scale cloud infrastructure.
  • Optimize system performance, conduct regular monitoring, and implement proactive troubleshooting measures.
  • Configure and manage virtual networking, storage solutions, and security measures in a virtualized environment.
  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in virtualized environments.
  • Proficient in various Linux distributions (e.g., Gardenlinux, CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL).
  • Strong understanding of file systems, kernel tuning, and performance optimization in tuning and optimizing both the host and guest systems for optimal performance.
  • Expertise in system monitoring and troubleshooting using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Zsh) and python, golang for automation tasks.
  • Experience with libvirt for managing KVM environments and virsh command-line tool and libvirt XML configuration.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus.
