Firefighter (Aircraft Rescue)

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter (Aircraft Rescue) to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Firefighter (Aircraft Rescue), you will be responsible for providing emergency response services for multiple sites within/on the Army installation(s) involving diverse fire hazards.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to emergency situations, including fires, hazardous material incidents, and rescue operations.
- Operate firefighting equipment, including aerial ladders, hoses, and rescue vehicles.
- Perform crash/rescue and firefighting duties at airfields handling medium and complex aircraft.
- Participate in regular training exercises to maintain and improve skills.
- Minimum Basic Requirements: E&T Level I (completed lower secondary school / Hauptschulabschluss) PLUS German certification as basic fire fighter (abgeschlossene Feuerwehrgrundausbildung, gemaess Feuerwehrdienstvorschrift 2 (FwDV2)).
- Additional Requirements: Host nation equivalent National Emergency Medical Technician (NEMT) certification, DoD certification as Firefighter I & II, Driver Operator Pumper, DOD HAZMAT operations, Host Nation SCBA certification (Ausbildung zum Atemschutzgeraetetraeger gem. FwDV 2), radio communicator training (Ausbildung zum Sprechfunker gem. FwDV2).
- Work on weekends and holidays as well as 24 hour shift work required.
- Occasionally temporary duty travel (TDY) required.
- Heavy lifting up to 100 lbs required.
