Senior Technical Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Procurement Manager to join our team at tozero. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring the necessary machinery and equipment for our state-of-the-art recycling plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of critical machinery and materials.
  • Build and maintain a reliable supplier network, negotiating contracts to meet our technical and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to align procurement strategies with company goals and project timelines.
  • Manage budgets and implement cost-saving strategies while ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain process, from order initiation to delivery, ensuring timely execution and compliance with technical specifications.
  • Proactively evaluate and respond to supply chain risks, developing contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Refine inventory management practices to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement and oversee KPIs to monitor and evaluate supply chain performance continuously.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in deep tech, renewable energy, or plant construction sectors.
  • A degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications and performance metrics, with a good understanding of metallurgical or chemical engineering processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Flexible and solution-oriented approach, capable of navigating the uncertainties of a startup environment.
