Role Overview

As a dedicated Junior Manager for Security & Loss Prevention (f/m/d) at DB Schenker, you will play a vital role in our organization's global security and risk management efforts. Based in Frankfurt or Essen, Germany, you will define, set, and roll out proactive prevention and protection standards at a global level.

Your ability to learn and adapt, analytical strength, and strong collaboration and communication skills will enable you to provide consultancy and expertise to support the success of our global Cluster Organizations and Business Units.

You will handle a wide array of dynamic topics and requests in the international arena, contributing to process optimization, harmonization, and standardization to ensure best-in-class performance and response capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a functional leader for Cluster Security & Loss Prevention Managers
  • Contribute to and shape process optimization, harmonization, and standardization to ensure best-in-class performance and response capabilities
  • Provide guidance and support for the implementation of various programs in all Clusters and participate in on-site audits
  • Exchange knowledge within an international team, updating dedicated virtual resources
  • Manage major incidents and provide trend-, pattern, and hotspot reports
  • Represent DB Schenker in associations like TAPA

Requirements

The Skillset You Bring

  • Academic background or equivalent education
  • Multiple years of experience in an internationally focused security & loss prevention or risk management role and/or other relevant experience
  • Understanding of the global supply-chain/logistics industry
  • Cross-functional thinking and ability to understand complex scenarios
  • The drive to shape and form your skillset and bring in new ideas
  • Fluent written and spoken business English, German knowledge beneficial
