About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Director to join our team at BC Deutschland GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive supply chain strategy for the region, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic procurement plan that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all procurement processes, identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supplier Management: Select, evaluate, and develop strategic supplier relationships, negotiating framework agreements and conditions.
  • Procurement Strategy: Define and implement a sustainable procurement strategy, ensuring optimal procurement costs, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
  • Team Management: Provide professional and disciplinary leadership to the strategic procurement team, promoting motivation and competence development.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate risks along the supply chain, developing and implementing measures to minimize risks.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Completed degree in Business Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Several years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in the metal processing industry or a related field.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to motivate and lead a team to top performance.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong presence and assertiveness in negotiations with suppliers and service providers.
  • Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze complex relationships and make data-based decisions.
  • Languages: Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
