Job Description:

At ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA, we are seeking an experienced Energy Transition Strategist to lead our international team and drive the development of battery storage and hybrid energy projects.

About Us:

We develop and build wind and solar farms as well as battery and hydrogen projects worldwide. Our in-house specialist departments provide all steps of project development and implementation, from site assessment to construction and energy sales.

The Role:

You will be responsible for shaping our long-term strategy in current international markets, building go-to-market strategies for emerging battery storage and hybrid energy markets, and leading an international team. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to orchestrate the development and execution process, support local Project Developers and Project Managers, and personally lead, develop, coordinate, and grow a team of skilled project managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for international battery storage markets
  • Manage the prioritization of international battery storage markets based on market and business case analyses
  • Support the creation and improvement of development and project management tools, processes, and standard operating procedures
  • Run team meetings, steer priorities, remove roadblocks, and ensure collaboration with internal and external project stakeholders
Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced professional with at least 5 years of experience in greenfield development for renewables and/or battery storage projects. You should have a deep understanding of the industry, excellent analytical skills, and strong communication abilities. Business fluent English is required.
