About the Role
TÜV SÜD, a leading global provider of testing and certification services, is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Cybersecurity Specialist to expand our automotive business in the USA. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in operationalizing highly automated driving projects in the area of automotive security.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct advisory services to our customers in the field of automotive cybersecurity, focusing on autonomous and connected driving.
- Conduct automotive cybersecurity assessments and audits to ensure the highest level of security.
- Manage projects for national and international customers, coordinating necessary processes for the certification of cybersecurity processes and products.
- Work closely with colleagues to drive improvements in internal processes, procedures, and technical fundamentals.
- Develop and establish methods, processes, and new products in automotive cybersecurity.
- Participate in national and international standards committees to shape future standards and regulations surrounding automated and connected driving.
- Conduct training and education measures to enhance the skills of our customers and internal teams.
- Focus on customer satisfaction, account growth, and expansion of services provided, while sustaining customer loyalty for a group of key customers.
- Support technical sales activities in the field of automotive cybersecurity by collaborating with the sales team.
- Act as a project manager if required and respond effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues.
Requirements
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or physics, or comparable education.
- Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in the field of cybersecurity, preferably with an automotive background.
- Relevant experience in automotive cybersecurity, as well as in standardization and regulation topics in the automotive context (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155, R156, R157, NHTSA Cybersecurity Best Practices).
- Demonstrable long-term practical experience in project work in an automotive environment, as well as in project management methodologies.
- Deep knowledge in several of the following topics: security methods and processes, automotive bus systems, cryptographic methods, and protocols.
- Very good team and communication skills, high level of initiative and enthusiasm.
- Conscientious work style, commitment, and time flexibility.
