Job Title: Waste Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Management Specialist to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. and German waste disposal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and monitor all disposal actions at recycling islands and satellite recycling containers to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collect abandoned or incorrectly disposed of materials and transport them to the nearest recycling center.
  • Ensure all containers are set up for collection, regularly emptied, and in good working condition.
  • Communicate with municipal officials, residents, and address complaints in English and German.
  • Operate a roll-on-roll-off truck and refuse truck weighing up to 20 tons.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of creditable experience in a related field, or 1 year with additional experience.
  • Office automation skills and proficiency in English and German (B2 and C1 levels respectively).
  • Driver's licenses B and C.
