Job Description:

Intel is seeking a researcher to pioneer a new class of algorithms and applications targeting our neuromorphic processors. Our goal is to exploit neuromorphic and related non-von Neumann architectures to solve real-world problems with significant gains versus conventional solutions.

As a researcher, you will prototype hardware-aware neuromorphic algorithms for use on real-world applications in collaboration with external customers and research partners. Your work may range from designing new projects, gathering requirements for customer use cases, high-level algorithm development, porting algorithms to our systems, benchmarking their performance, developing software libraries, and deploying prototypes with customers.

Qualifications:

  1. MSc in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  2. Strong analytical and applied skills in deep learning, machine learning, mathematical optimization, and related tools and libraries.
  3. 1+ years of experience with developing algorithms for neuromorphic hardware systems.
  4. 4+ years of experience in Python and/or C/C++ with the ability to design and write quality code.
  5. 1+ years of experience in collaborative software development.
  6. Excellent communication skills, customer-oriented, attention to detail, and demonstrated project management skills.
  7. Work permit in Germany.
