Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Shipping Specialist to join our team in Leipzig. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure seamless shipping operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational safety and process specifications.
  • Conducting internal audits and controls to maintain high standards.
  • Providing training to employees on quality standards and best practices.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance work processes.
  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators to support operations.
  • Handling customer inquiries and problems efficiently, with complete documentation and cross-departmental cooperation.
  • Processing tickets in various systems and serving as a contact person for customer care, transport service providers, and customs matters.
  • Ensuring the proper handling of shipments and written and verbal communication with forwarding agents.
  • Monitoring delivery dates and processing complaints.
  • Preparing shipping orders and customs documents.
  • Monitoring deadlines, payments, and outstanding documentation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A commercial training or training in logistics, with experience in warehouse management and problem/error handling.
  • Knowledge of customs clearance is an advantage.
  • Confident handling of MS Office applications, especially Excel, and merchandise management systems.
  • Affinity for numbers and analytical skills.
  • An independent, structured, and responsible way of working.
  • Very good German and good English skills.
  • Flexibility and a hands-on mentality.
  • Willingness to work shifts.
